Your safety is of utmost importance to us. Please be mindful of this information and respectful of the House Rules. We appreciate your cooperation.

Your Innkeepers’ Private Rooms are marked: There are 2 Offices, a Bedroom, and the Kitchen which are restricted areas on the main floor. Please take note of these areas so you know where to find us if you need anything. The attic door on the second floor is also marked Private.

Staircases: The main hallway’s steep stairs are for Emergency Egress only. If you are using these stairs to evacuate the premises, you will be brought back to the main hallway where you checked in. Evacuate through the front or back door and meet at the mailbox at the end of the driveway. Guest common areas include the Dining Room, the Library, and the Family Room. The Radiators throughout the house will be hot, so be careful not to touch. Please ask for assistance before using any of the fireplaces throughout the house.

There are 5 fire extinguishers located in throughout the house: 1. The Main Hallway near the back door 2. The Library by the Fireplace 3. The Living Room at the foot of the stairs 4. Upstairs by the Family Suite 5. Upstairs by the Loblolly Pine Guest Room Smoke alarms and Carbon Monoxide detectors are located throughout the house. Extinguish the fire if you can, evacuate immediately if the fire can’t be handled. Alert and assist other guests as you exit. Meet at the mailbox, call 911.

Please take note of your room location and the closest stairs for emergency evacuation. If you are in the Loblolly Pine, Silkbay or Hemlock, the steep stairs that lead to the main hallway will be the closest route for emergency evacuation. If you are in the Family Suite or the Sugarbush, the main guest stairway off the Living Room will be the quickest escape route.

If you are unable to get to the stairs and are trapped inside your guest room, you will have to make an escape through your bedroom window. There is an emergency rope ladder in the hallway dresser for window egress.

We will have you print your name and room name in the guest log for accountability. Main doors are locked at 11:00pm. A front door key can be provided if you expect to be arriving back to the Inn after hours.

We do no wear our shoes throughout the house. Please leave your shoes at the door or use the shoe covers provided.

Library Books do not leave the library. Please ensure your hands are clean before handling the books.

Your room is supplied with sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels and decorated with art, lamps, rugs, etc. Normal cleaning fees are covered in your room charge. If heavy cleaning is required after check out, you may be held responsible for additional cleaning fees or replacement costs for damaged or missing items.
Turn off lights and unplug appliances when not occupying rooms.
Notify innkeepers of any spills so we can take care of clean up promptly.
